Hunter asks Tim – I am planning a surprise birthday for my wife. I have invited close friends and family and the food will be catered. However, this still leaves me with the drinks. What is the best way to serve up a great party while spending a minimum amount on the alcohol?
The best way to provide alcohol on a budget would be to offer a limited selection. There a couple of ways I would recommend. The first suggestion, would be to offer a one signature drink. This could be your wife's favorite, and you could give the recipe to your guests. Take a look at our recipes page, you are sure to find something to savor for the evening!
The second suggestion would be to serve a punch. This is something you can prepare in advance, and your guests can serve themselves.
The third suggestion would be to offer two different wine choices, for example one red and one white. One or the other should hit the spot for most guests, and pair well with any choice of entree. Check out our Wines on the Brink this month, all selections have been hand picked by myself and chosen with the economy in mind... while not sacrificing the quality in taste.
Cheers! Tim
